The Lompoc Business Connection is a diverse group of local business owners working together to stimulate growth in their businesses and in the independent business community through networking, marketing and sharing successes and challenges.
Lompoc Business Connection encourages Lompoc residents and visitors to become educated regarding the city's spectrum of diverse, vibrant and independent businesses. Their vision is to stimulate pride and increase local purchasing through their combined efforts.
They have recently adopted the slogan “Shop-Taste-Experience Lompoc.” The slogan is perfect for the group, because it encompasses every type of business represented by the Connection group, which includes restaurants, retail, services and home businesses, and it promotes pride in the Lompoc Valley.
Their goal is to educate the residents of the Lompoc Valley about the products and services that are right here at home. As one of the members said at our last meeting, people can find it all right here and can save gas by shopping in Lompoc. The group currently has 23 members and is co-chaired by Sachi Yenokida of Union Bank, and Tim Harrington of Terralink Business Consulting Services. Connection members include Paper Doll Printing and Design, Angela Brooks REMAX Mission Realty, Terralink, R. Lompoc Ace Hardware, Janice Hawkins Nikken Wellness Consultant, Thomas Hurd DDS, The Party Shop, Dr. Teresa Martinez-Baker Family Chiropractic, Servicios Maya/Farmers Insurance, Wick Dip Candles, Memories, Sharon Pensabene Insurance and Financial Services, Lila Rochester Organizational Consultant, Sweet Creations, Alfie's Fish and Chips, Carol's Special Teas, Vicki Bates Wellness by Design, Lompoc Valley Soap Works, Dyer Emergency Mints, Kipp Thonack Edward Jones, Sue's Place, Jennifer Rose Hairstylist and Union Bank.
They are currently working on some related business packaging ideas, group advertising and assisting one another with business improvement suggestions. They are a high energy group and their determination and excitement has been contagious for all who have been attending the meetings. They began introducing themselves to the public at the first Olde Towne Market and will be there every Friday night. Watch for other activity from the Lompoc Business Connection in the future.
