Lompoc Adult Softball

Here are results from games played in the Lompoc adult softball leagues from Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13.

Thursday, July 10

Atlantic

Valley POD 27, LPOA 21

POD scored six runs in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings in the win, erasing a 10-run first by LPOA.

Robert Stricklin had four runs batted in with a triple, double and two singles, while Eric Holcomb added three RBIs with a triple and two singles.

Pizza Garden Misfits 15, Los Amigos 13

The Misfits scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come from behind, then held Los Amigos scoreless in the seventh inning to earn the win.

Dwayne Wilks and Gabby Garbiso both had three RBIs with three hits each. One hit by Garbiso was a double. Trevor Baird had four runs batted in for Los Amigos.

Wolf Pack 21, V&J Trucking 10

Wolf Pack led 14-6 after two innings and cruised to victory.

David Everett led the way, knocking in three runs with a home run and a double. Darren Greene, Glen Hopkins and Ron Heron each drove in two runs.

Indian

LP Hackers 17, Armero Electric 6

After scoring six runs in the first, the Hackers cruised to the win.

Nick Cordero drove in four runs with a home run, double and single. Chad Craig hit two singles and a double with two RBIs, Matt Smith had one single and a double with two RBIs. Marcus Fox added two RBIs with three singles.

Strike Force 15, Brothers 13

Strike Force led 12-6 after three innings, then held on for the victory.

Justin Bailey hit a double and a single with two runs batted in and Tom Segura drove in two with a triple.

Werner Construction 19, USANA 10

Seven runs in the fifth put the game away for Werner.

Kody White had three runs batted in with a double and single. Diego Elizondo hit three doubles and had two RBIs and Vincent Solorio drove in two with three singles.

Arctic

Bad Habits 20, Santori Woodworking 5

Bad Habits scored six runs in the first and second innings to take a 12-2 lead after two.

Dave Everett hit a home run, double and single with two RBIs and Brian Lane drove in two with a home run. Myles Kueffer added two RBIs with a triple and single.

Evolution 11, Furies 7

Stan King hit a grand slam in a five-run fifth and that was the difference. Jason Nunnelee drove in three runs with two singles. Diego Elizondo doubled and singled and David Soza Jr. tripled and singled.

Solvang Taxi 13, Mi Amore Maniacs 2

Steve Pierce hit a home run and three singles and ended the game with four runs batted in. Anthony Terrones added three RBIs with a double and single, while Jose Salas homered and hit a single with two RBIs.

Sunday, July 13

Coed Pine

ETS Properties 41, Pommerville 1

Vince Dominguez had 10 runs batted in with a home run, triple and two singles as ETS went on a scoring barrage that was called after four innings.

Sara Marango had four RBIs with five singles and Lesa Keasler added two RBIs with four singles. Joseph Holt hit a triple, double and single with two RBIs.

The Shack 23, Sushi Teri 1

In another four inning game, Brock Halterman drove in six runs with a home run and two doubles. Julian Vineyard had three runs batted in with three singles and Nakomi Soza had two RBIs with two singles.

Coed Oak

Whistle Stop 14, La Familia 12

Mitch Williams hit a grand slam and a single with four runs batted in and Clint McIntosh homered and drove in two.

Pizza Garden 17, Dr. T's 3

Leading 9-0 after three innings, Pizza Garden scored eight in the fourth inning to put the game on ice. Jose Salas and Justin Bailey each tripled, doubled and singled in the game. Salas drove in three runs and Bailey knocked in two. Darren Greene added a three-run triple.

Thomas Mackie Golf Tourney Results

The 44th Annual Thomas Mackie Member-Guest Golf Tournament was held at the Village Country Club from July 11 to July 13.

On Friday, July 11, the “Mini-Mackie tournament - a 2-man best ball - was played as well as a 4-man Horse race tournament. Low gross winners in the 2-man were Steve Lindstrum and Jimmy Clesson (63). Low net winners were Greg Hebert and Dennis Grossini (56).

Highlights included a hole-in-one by Jerry Crook on the 196 yard, seventh hole. It was his first hole-in-one in 55 years of golfing.

The 4-man horse race is a tourney that has four teammates who rotate shots. Teams are eliminated on each hole until there is one team remaining.

The winning team included Don McCormick, Dale Springer, Jerry Crook and Buck Crook.

The Mackie 2-man best ball was played on Saturday and Sunday.

The overall gross champions were Ben Hjelm and Steve Lindstrum (133) and the overall net champions were Doug Ludden and Scott Buttler (120).

There were three flights.

First flight low gross winners were Dave Desmond and Bryan Moles (135) and the low net winners were Jim Robb and Colin Richards (123).

Second flight low gross winners were Bob Vossler and Greg Borgard (152 in a card off) and the low net winners were Jerry and Buck Crook (125 in a card off).

Third flight low gross winners were George Stillman and Les Barges (165) and low net winners were Archie Nogle and Robert Brown (127).
