The Lompoc Police Department conducted a DUI and license checkpoint on Sunday, which found nine unlicensed drivers, and two intoxicated drivers, out of the more than 1,025 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint.

Police officials released the results of the checkpoint, in the 600 block of North H Street, reporting that seven vehicles were towed for a 30-day hold, and another vehicle forfeited as a result of checkpoint arrests.

Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
