Hitching Post opens BBQ2You
The Ostini family has opened its newest business, Hitching Post Products/BBQ2You.
Family members said steak, lobster, ribs, artichokes and other specialties of the Hitching Post restaurant will be barbecued, then flash-frozen and shipped by second-day air to any location in the United States.
The brainchild of co-owner Stacey (Ostini) Mosti, daughter of restaurant owner Bill Ostini, the business was launched after three years of planning and test marketing.
Longtime customers who have moved away from the Santa Maria Valley have tried the products in Texas, Illinois, Indiana and Florida and say it's like eating their favorite foods at the restaurant.
Mosti said most mail-order steak businesses ship raw products, but BBQ2You foods are prepared the same as at the restaurant by the same cooks.

Online Traveling Tot Magazine launched
Santa Maria-based niche dot com company VS Enterprises has announced the launch of The Traveling Tot
Magazine.com, a comprehensive online magazine dedicated to quality family travel.
The idea behind the new site,
www.TheTravelingTotMagazine.com, came from the lack of a single online resource for those who travel with little ones to gather relevant yet entertaining information to make their journey more successful.
The Traveling Tot
Magazine.com offers advice, links and reviews to make every trip feel like luxury - whether flying first class or coach, said a company spokesman.
Information is gathered through a network of celebrity contacts, experts in the field and international correspondents. Each issue includes a celebrity guest author offering insight into balancing family and the jet-set lifestyle.
September's issue features a humorous exclusive article by Scott Baio documenting his journey from teen heartthrob to his role as dad.
