Poker run planned

The Lompoc Valley Riders will hold their 17th Annual Poker Ride and Barbecue at La Purisima Mission on Sunday. The ride will last about two hours, around the back country of the mission and overlooking the Lompoc Valley, followed by the barbecue, raffle and awards.

Attention cancer survivors

Any cancer survivor who has not received this year/s Relay For Life celebration form and invitation to the Survivor/s Dinner may call Edna Irons, at 736-5545, to request this information.

Dinner reservation deadline is May 11.


4th of July sponsors sought

The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department is looking for sponsors for its 4th of July Spectacular, to be held at Lompoc High School/s Huyck Stadium.

Anyone interested should call the department at 875-8100 to request a sponsor packet.


Church plans youth rally

New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church, 435 North G St., will hold a Youth Rally from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Ryln Park.

There will be free food, music, dramatizations, dance and motivational speakers.
