Holiday concert tickets for sale

Tickets for the Lompoc Valley Master Chorale concerts “Fanfares and Carols” are  on sale for $15 each, available from choir members and at Avenue Florist, 1313 North H St. Tickets also will be available at the door.

The master chorale, under the direction of Kathleen Abrams Hacker, will present two holiday concerts, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, and Saturday, Dec. 5, at First United Methodist Church, 925 North F St.

Giant garage sale set today

Queen of Angels Catholic Church will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to noon today, weather permitting, at 3495 Rucker Road, Mission Hills.

Featured at the sale will be Christmas decorations and trees, Levi’s jeans for $1, winter jackets, sweat shirts, clothing, cribs, bicycles, exercise equipment, puzzles, books, furniture, etc. For more information, call 733-4516.

LHS to sell homemade pies

Pumpkin pies with homemade crust and real whipped cream will be sold to help raise funds for the Lompoc High School boy’s aquatic program. Pies will be sold for $12 each and are available throughout November.

Decorating contest begins

The Lompoc Beautification and Appearance Commission is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Holiday Decoration Contest. The community is encouraged to participate and to call in nominations to Diane Najera at 875-8034.

Judging will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. 

Party planned to thank customers

The Pampered Chef will hold the 10th Annual Customer Appreciation Party at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at 509 Aspen St., on Vandenberg Air Force Base.

Special guests will include One Hip Bag and Mooseberry Mountain Candles. A free gift will be given to all attendees.

Reservations are required to gain base access. The event is free. To make reservations, call Shannon Lee at 734-3595.

Canned food drive to be held Sunday

The Lompoc Seventh-day Adventist Youth group will hold a canned goods drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, at Albertson’s, Vons and Foods Co.

Food collected will be donated to Thanksgiving baskets for needy families and to the Food Pantry of Lompoc.
