I am so glad to see that another Person was caught Driving without a License. This woman beyond being here illegally was intentially Driving without Insurance which costs us all. This type of behavior really angers me as I am still in a situation wheras a unlicensed Driver (uninsured) hit my Vehicle a few months ago ,tore off my Drivers side Mirror and destroyed anyway of putting a new one in place until body work is done.I know who the person is but they have disapeared back to Mexico, now the only way I will ever get this fixed is to file on my insurance and have my rates go up.So I am for throwing the book at all who chose to Drive illegally.Keep up the good work LPD.
It's sad when you here that old ladies with no ID are taken to jail but justice is blind folks. If I have to obey traffic laws there's no justifiable reason anyone else shouldn't have to obey them too. People need to be held responsible for their actions. Keep up the good work Lompoc PD!
Fantastic story on our outstanding Police Department. Everytime I see a checkpoint it makes me feel good to know that they may take at least one drunk driver off the roadway. As far as unlicensed, revoked, suspended drivers...they are breaking the law and need to be held accountable. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse, and honestly, I think every adult does know that you need a valid drivers license to drive on public roadways in every state of this great country.
