Starting this Saturday, there will be a monthly TEA party rally at the corner of Central and H Street from 11 a.m.-noon. They will be the first Saturday of each month.

In 1776, America was formed with a political system of a republic, an economic system of free-market capitalism, and a moral foundation of God's spiritual laws. This led America to be the most prosperous nation in the history of the world.

Today, the government is out of control. Endless wars, bailouts galore, unemployment continues to grow despite economic stimulus plans, and now the government is on the verge of taking over health care.

Massachusetts started state-run health care a few years ago. Costs have risen faster than the national average, doctors are taking fewer new patients, and there are increases in wait times.

In 1921, there was a depression. The government did nothing. It only lasted one year.

Another depression started in 1929. People were poor and starving. Instead of letting food prices fall, the government intervened and kept food prices up by destroying crops and slaughtering farm animals. The idea was farmers would make more money and spend it on tractors, thus stimulating the economy. It didn't work, and the depression lasted over 10 years.

If you want to restore our republic, believe in limited constitutional government, personal liberty and free markets. Come to the rally with your freedom signs and American flags.
