Another view of Measure O

Having lived in Vandenberg Village since 1981, I/ve used its library resources occasionally, for various reasons. Granted, a library is a vital resource for a community, for the services it offers. And in the case of the Vandenberg Village library, it/s nice to have 7 convenient 7 but is it a dire necessity? Obviously not, since the city of Lompoc has a large, well maintained and functioning library, which serves all the communities, including Vandenberg Village, Mesa Oaks and Mission Hills.

Before Measure O was proposed, was there a library participation survey conducted, to justify additional hours as well as expenses? And when you/re deciding how to vote on Measure 0, cast aside the &#8220nice to haveC image, and concentrate on the practicality of the matter, along with the parcel assessment fee, that will increase annually, to fund this measure.
