I wonder if the military veterans of this great nation know what our commander-in-chief is doing on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

In case you don't know, he is on a trip to Japan, instead of honoring those who have kept this country free.

The president of the Berlin Airlift Association was given a half-promise by the White House that those who were able to travel to Washington, D.C., on Nov. 11 would be honored with a presidential unit citation. Lodging and food for these veterans were arranged for and paid by donations, but our glorious leader opted out.

My opinion is that he missed out on a great publicity coup.
