Swimming to the Spartans
A swimmer for most of her life, Ashlea Coski was talked into trying water polo by her mother Christa. Her mom, a Lompoc graduate, wanted to play water polo at a time when there wasn’t a girls team and thought Ashlea might like it.

Sargeant enjoying life with the Bills
When Lydell Sargeant left Cabrillo High School in the spring of 2005, he was a 5 five foot, 10 inch dynamo. As a senior, the football star ran for 944 yards on 99 carries — a healthy 9.5 average — and seven rushing touchdowns to lead the Conquistadores to a CIF playoff berth.
