Cal Poly visits Hancock
The Cal Poly mens basketball team, under new head coach Joe Collero will make a visit to the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium on the Allan Hancock College campus Saturday, Oct. 31.
Beginning at 1:30 p.m., Collero will run his 2009-2010 squad through a practice and then the team will play a Green and Gold inter-squad scrimmage.
As part of the Cal Poly community outreach, the practice is open to the public and there will be no charge for admission.
Cal Poly begins their season on Friday, Nov. 13 at San Francisco and plays at Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 15. The Mustangs will play their first home game on Thursday, Dec. 3.
ESPN Golf Championships
With a team score of 62, Geoff Gonzlalez and Sports Bite host Mike Wozniak won the ESPN Radio Golf Championship at Monarch Dunes Golf Course on Friday.
The tournament was a two-man best ball format and was the tenth tournament in the ESPN golf series.
Gonzalez shot a new course record 63 with his own ball. Jeremy Gearheart and Daniel Licursi were second with a 64, followed by two teams at 65, Travis Bertoni and Marshall Williams, as well as Colin Peck and Hannah Brabb.
