The Braves (2-8-1 LPL) fell short in this Los Padres League match at Lompoc by 11 games.
Korina Esqueda and Asucena Villalobos swept three sets for Lompoc at No. 1 doubles. Ashley Branson and Jessica Cosio earned two doubles points. Sameeha Husayn won two singles matches.
Cabrillo 12, Morro Bay 6
Doubles teams carried the Conquistadores (8-3 LPL) to a league victory at Morro Bay (1-9-1).
Cabrillo took eight of the nine doubles sets. Elke and Nikki Piertsegaele, and Ashley Bowman and Bree Piper Williams all swept.
Girls volleyball
Templeton 3, Lompoc 0
Susan Hang had five kills and Amber Brown had three for the Braves who lost 25-19, 25-11, 25-23 to the Eagles in an LPL home match.
Templeton (6-5 LPL) moved a match up on Cabrillo in the race for the fourth, and last, guaranteed LPL playoff spot.
Lompoc is 1-10 in the LPL.
Morro Bay 3, Cabrillo 1
The Pirates (8-3 LPL) downed the Conquistadores (5-6) 25-15, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23 in a Los Padres League match at Morro Bay.
Phoebe Huggins led Cabrillo with 12 digs and five kills. Chloe Huggins racked up eight digs and five kills. Christina Goodchild had 12 digs for the Conquistadores. Kolby Edman made seven.
Cabrillo plays at first-place Santa Ynez Thursday night in a regular season finale. Morro Bay plays Templeton then.
Girls Golf
CIF Southern Section
Northern Regional
Cabrillo's Morgan Salm advanced to the CIF Southern Section Individual Finals with an 81 over the 18 holes at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai.
The forty six players who shot an 81 or lower moved on to the CIF Southern Section Individual tourney and to WSCGA Qualifying.
Lompoc AYSO Fundraiser
Two teams from the Lompoc AYSO have been selected to play in the 2010 National Games in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Lompoc U10 and U12 girls teams have been selected in a national lottery drawing to compete.
The AYSO is now in the process of collecting donations and holding fundraisers to provide the expenses for the trip.
For the next two weekends, Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8, and also Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15, AYSO will hold a soft taco fundraiser at the Riverbend Park soccer fields.
Tacos will be sold for $2 each from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each of those days. Carnitas (shredded pork) and grilled chicken tacos will be available. Riverbend Park is located off North A Street and Central Ave.

Turkey Trot
The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department presents the annual Turkey Trot, 3-mile Fun Run on Sunday, Nov. 22 at River Park.
The Fun Run is open for all ages and ability levels. Nine different divisions are being offered and prizes will be awarded for first- and second-place finishers in each division.
Check in will run from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with race time scheduled at 9 a.m. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event.
River Park is located at Highway 246 and Sweeney Road in Lompoc.
