If you were told a bowler had just rolled a magnificent 300 game and fantastic 794 three-game series, whose name would pop into your mind?
Doug Fennell? Jake Buenaventura? Lynn Bond?
Well, you would be wrong.
The bowler was young superstar David O/Dwyer, Jr. who accomplished his outstanding achievement in the Rising Stars Bowling League on October 16.
For David, it was 300 number 4 and the 794 was his highest series to date. He started with an impressive 270, followed with a decent 224, and finished with his perfecto.
Congratulations David, well done.

Bud Covington hit a solid 227/560, Lynn Bond struggled (even the great ones have off sessions) to a 198/556 while George Hall smashed a strong 190/552. Roy Taatjes shot a decent 191/542, Joe Vasques was all smiles with his 184/527, and Jim Walker powered a decent 204/524.

Queen Belinda Thomas donned her robe with humility after stroking a 205/576 set. Gene Rondash almost earned his second King/s title hitting a 187/541 series while Ngaire Kemp was first princess to Belinda with her respectable 183/476 set.
Brodie All Star Classic League
The X-men/s lead is down to four points with two weeks remaining in the first quarter. Ouch, life on the top is rough.
Doug Fennell beat Ken Greene Senior 258 to 246 to capture high series for the week 921 to 906. Bob Stokes continued his outstanding scoring, this time a delightful 256/902. Good to see him smiling and out of the rut all great bowlers experience from time-to-time.
Last week was sensational with one-half of the league hitting better than 800. Jim Brodie and Tom Reigle launched tremendous 887 series. Jake Buenaventura stroked a delectable 255/878 and Dan Panel made his presence known with a splendid 248/874. Great shooting Dan!
Monster George Matzie and Dapper Larry Craig were sizzling with George falling to the dapper one 244/858 to 234/859.
Fun Bunch League
Jake Buenaventura led a bevy of super strokers with a terrific 275/706 set last week. Lord, he/s had more sevens in the past month than most bowlers have in a career. Don/t stop Jake!
He was followed (last week) by Ken Bailey (238/676), Joe Bousquet (247/627), and Chino Vasquez (234/626). Jim Jenkins hit his high series of the season (and of the past year or so) a smashing 216/606. Great shooting Jim!
Dan Panel unleashed a thundering 216/604 and Victor Lizama fell just short of joining Dan in the 600 club (254/590). Raul Roman hit a dandy 217/585, Judy Jenkins and Seth Walters tossed 579 sets, and three pins back was Lerma Buenaventura with her 206/576.
