7/17/03 LGSA nationals fundraisers -The Lompoc Girls Softball Association 10-and-under team is raising funds to travel to Texas for the ASA Nationals July 28-through-August 2.

Fundraisers a chicken barbecue at Von/s, 729 North H from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.

Pizza Garden is donating 1/3 of in-house and carry-out sales on Tuesdays and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the dates being July 17, 22 and 24.

On Fridays, July 18 and 25 the team will sell food at the Olde Towne Fair in the 100 block of South H, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Also Greco/s Butcher and Deli is selling ,5 raffle tickets, with two winners collecting a half pig, cut and wrapped.

The squad is asking the community for tax deductible donations. Make checks out to the Lompoc Girls Softball Association, with a 10-and-under in the memo. Rebel softball

The Rebels 16-and-under team coached by Lompoc/s Codie Blea, will be in St. George, Utah, at the Western Nationals July 29-August 3. To fund their trip the Rebs, made up of players from Lompoc, Cabrillo and Arroyo Grande high schools, have scheduled a car wash for Sunday, July 20, at Pommerville Unocal at the corner of H Street and North Avenue from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Rebels will also be doing a Tip a Rebel at Tom/s Restaurant on Tuesday, July 22 from 5-9 p.m. For information contact Blea at 315-7071.
