Cabrillo Soccer Car Wash

The 2009-2010 Cabrillo girls soccer team will be holding a pre-season car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The car wash will be held at Pommerville's Gas Station, 1001 North H St. at the corner of North Ave.

Donations of any size are welcome.

The Lady Conqs will scrimmage Lompoc on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. then open the season on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at Pioneer Valley High School in Santa Maria.

Spring Volleyball League

Registration is now open for the spring season in the United States Youth Volleyball League. An eight-week league will begin in April and be held at River Park in Lompoc.

The USYVL is an instructional league that operates in a coed format for ages seven to 15. KIds and their parents are encouraged to participate in recreational practices and games which builds self-esteem and confidence.

13th Annual Blaine Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament

The 13th Annual Blaine Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament is sold out. However, tickets are still available for the awards banquet and auction.

The tournament will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Rancho Maria Golf Club. The dinner follows with a social hour beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge. Dinner will be served at 5:30. The live auction begins after dinner with a silent auction running throughout the evening.

You can attend the banquet at the Elks even if you don't play in the tournament. Advance reservations can be made by calling the tournament committee at 922-1202 before Monday, Nov. 2. Dinner tickets are $25.
